On Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 8:00am, our mission partner The Haven will host the 16th annual Run for Home 8K Run and 4K Walk in downtown Charlottesville. We invite you to participate and to join the First Presbyterian team.

This annual fundraiser supports The Haven Day Shelter and its work with neighbors who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Each day, The Haven provides hot meals, showers, laundry access, warmth, personal connection, and support to hundreds of individuals in our community.

Event Details:
The race begins on the Downtown Mall, winds through historic Charlottesville, and finishes at the Ting Pavilion. Afterward, participants are invited to enjoy breakfast at The Haven.

A virtual 8K and 4K option is also available for those who prefer to participate remotely.

The First Pres Team:
Joining the First Pres team is done during registration, on the third page under the “Team Fundraiser” section, click the dropdown box under “Join a Team Fundraiser” and select First Presbyterian Church. Please join the team so we can walk together in unity.

To find the team on race day, look for Rachel Thompson Orfield and baby Simon at the starting line.
