Church Community
First Pres is an active congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Some of us consider church our second home, and others are discovering the love of God in Christ for the first time. Through worship, fellowship, service, and groups together, we connect with one another as people who have been touched by some inkling of the Spirit and who are looking for ways to deepen our expression of faith, and have it nurtured in a community that endeavors to love thy neighbor. We sense God connecting with us in Scripture, music, and prayer as we have open conversations about how to live our faith in the world today. There's a place for you at First Pres!

Kirk Night Cookout

Our Kirk Night Cookout kicks off Thursday, June 12 at 6:00pm on the bluestone courtyard (weather permitting). We’ll be serving up all the cookout classics, be sure to bring a chair, blanket, or preferred seating choice. There will be bubbles, chalk, and yard games to keep the kids smiling!

The Psalms contain every emotion you can imagine. This big book of poems captures all the very real parts of life. This summer we are going to explore the things that make us who we are so we can learn to love one another more fully just as God loves us!
Bach's Cantata #82

Join us on Sunday, June 29th at 11:00 for a performance of Bach’s Cantata #82 with soprano Bridgid Eversole and an ensemble of flute, strings and organ. The music that morning will also feature two movements from Cantata #35 for organ and strings. Bach's cantatas are some of the greatest examples of sacred music - come and experience transcendent music.
