The Music on Park Street concert series presents an annual series of classical and sacred music performed by the region's best performing artists. We never charge admission. The series is presented as a gift to the community, showcasing the remarkable acoustics and instruments of First Presbyterian Church.

Duets Concert I in Collaboration with Charlottesville Opera
October 17, 7:00pm

Music on Park Street in collaboration with Charlottesville Opera will present the first in a series of four concerts featuring duets.  The first two singers will be tenor David Blalock and soprano Jeni Houser.

Concert of music for Trumpet and Piano or Organ with Ivano Ascari

Free Admission

Music on Park Street will present a concert of music for trumpet and piano and trumpet and organ, featuring Italian trumpeter Ivano Ascari. Ascari is Professor of Trumpet at the Conservatorio in Trento, Italy. He performed for many years as the Principal Trumpet in the Bolzano Symphony Orchestra. He is currently working on a major project of commissions for new music. 

 

The program will include works by American and Italian composers, some of which were written for Mr. Ascari. 

 

The concert is free, and donations are gratefully accepted. The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 500 Park Street. For more information, contact the church at 434-296-7131.
