Youth
At First Pres our goal is for students to experience God's love and grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ and others through service, study, and fellowship.
In Sunday Classes, Youth Group, and Retreats, we create a brave space where students can be their authentic selves. We invite questions about faith and the role of the church in the world, and we hope that students feel welcome to unpack the good news of the gospel in community.

Youth Sunday Classes
Confirmation
Middle School
10:00am - 10:50am
Students are invited to make their faith their own through exploration and discussion of Scripture. Each year the class will cover important topics like the Bible, the Trinity, the sacraments, church history, and what it means to be Presbyterian. Every student in eighth grade is offered the opportunity to write a faith statement, be confirmed and become an official member of First Presbyterian Church.
Feasting on the Word
High School
10:00am - 10:50am
Students will deepen their understanding of personal identity and communal belonging in Jesus Christ through Bible study. Each class will focus on Bible passages used in Sunday morning worship, giving students an opportunity to further their experience and understanding of the message.
Youth Group
Middle School & High School
5:30pm - 7:30pm
Sundays this fall at church Middle and High School students will gather for a time of fun, food, and conversation. This will be a time for student to engage in discussion on the things that are on their hearts and mind while also learning how God calls us to walk in the world.
Provide a Sunday Dinner
We encourage home-cooked and takeout/catered dinners to feed our youth group! This is a great opportunity for intergenerational ministry.
Volunteer at Youth Group
Our youth ministry can only happen when we have support from willing and able adults! You can help lead at youth group, Sunday School, off-site events, and summer retreats.
Greet Youth in Worship
Building community across generations is very important to our mission at First Pres. If you see a new youth, introduce yourself to their family and invite them to join our ministry!
