Epiphany & Beyond

This winter, the Health and Wellness Committee is launching Epiphany and Beyond, a congregation wide health and wellness campaign running from Epiphany through Easter. Together, we will focus on four themes that support body, mind, and spirit: Movement, Nutrition, Nature, and Gratitude.

Recent national events, particularly in Minneapolis, have left many of us feeling hurt, confused, angry, afraid, and heartbroken. If you are longing for a quiet space to breathe, reflect, and pray with others, please join us for a time of prayer.

Red Cross Blood Drive CANCELED

We regret to share that the American Red Cross has cancelled our upcoming blood drive at the church on February 1, 2026. Although our drive has been cancelled, the need for blood remains critical. We encourage you to consider signing up to donate at another blood drive in our area if you are able.

Winter/Spring Supper Club 2026

Due to incoming inclement weather, the Supper Club kickoff gathering originally scheduled for Sunday, January 25 has been rescheduled to Sunday, February 1.

Souper Bowl of Caring Youth Pancake Breakfast

Our youth are hosting the Souper Bowl of Caring Pancake Breakfast, with all donations supporting hunger relief through the First Pres Soup Kitchen. Enjoy breakfast together and give in person or online to help sustain this weekly ministry serving our neighbors.

Kirk Night Trivia Night

We will gather for a shared meal, followed by a fun round of Valentine’s Day themed trivia. Trivia will be intergenerational and family-friendly, with questions and activities designed for all ages. Come enjoy a great meal, some friendly competition, and the chance to win a prize or two.

Ash Wednesday

Join us for an Ash Wednesday service in the Sanctuary at 5:00pm. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and is a service of penitence, inviting us to reflect on our mortality and the enduring love of God from which we will never be separated.

Volunteer at the Ten Miler

The Charlottesville Ten Miler is a signature community race that depends on volunteers to make it possible. This year, every volunteer who signs up in the name of Abundant Life Ministries directly increases the financial support they receive from the event.
