For some, the season of Christmas is a mixed blessing, evoking grief over the death of loved ones, or other sorrows.

You are invited to join others in the Sanctuary at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 18 for a time of prayer, silence, music, and light in the darkness.

A Blue Christmas service is a service of hope and healing that is more contemplative and reflective rather than exuberant. First Pres will be offering such a service this year for anyone seeking a time of prayer and consolation not only for personal sorrows but also for those who lament injustice and broken relationships in their communities or the world.
