Bill and his wife Harriet are long-term members of FPC. They have lived in Charlottesville
since 1988 and raised their 4 children here. Bill retired in 2021 from practicing Medical
Oncology at UVA and has redirected the time previously spent teaching and assisting
patients to enrich the time for family, church and personal life.

What is God doing in your life?
God is opening my eyes to new ways in retirement to serve Him and other people and
grow in my faith.

What excites you the most about serving as an officer?
I want to work with fellow Christians to serve God’s plan by ensuring that our church is
nurturing, providing practical care, fellowship and community service.
